Grocery shopping
I have decided that taking Aaron grocery shopping is so hard to do. We went to the store and sat and stared at salads arguing over what kind to get. I love to get the spring mix and the big leafy green mix. I do not like to usually buy the iceberg lettuce mix. I feel like it does nothing but act as a filler. I have been trying so hard to get Aaron to eat better so we don't have junk food in the house so we can be healthy but it is a working progress. It is so frustrating. In the end we went with the iceberg so that he would at least eat I decided that it was better than nothing. I just wish I could get hi to try new things. I wouls love to make eggplant parmigan and all those other things that I love but I don't think that he would eat it. I am at a loss of what to fix other than corn which seems to be the only veggie that he will eat. I am worried Kenzie will end up just like her dad. But no matter how much I tell him this he will not budge. He is so stubborn, but I guess that makes me jsut as stubborn because I wont give in. I just keep thinking that one day he will not complain about something healthy that I have made and decide that he does like it. Maybe one day.

Good luck! Adam didn't like anything but chicken when we first got married. So I gave up cooking other types of meat, but now he complains and want's me to go back to the variety.
He will not eat anything white (mayo, sour cream etc.)but Elsie will. There are times she want's to be like her dad and go without, but she is her own person and has her own opinion (mustard only sandwiches). Kenzie will be the same way, you don't have any choice but to offer it to her and hope for the best.
I am mean and will let my kids and husband go hungry if they choose not to eat what I made for them. I don't force them to eat, but they don't get anything else either (especially snacks.) Elsie like's most things so far, lettuce is actually one of her fav's.
I KNOW!! He is stubborn, but going with Cyndi, that's how my mom made him eat. "This is what I made, this is what's on the table--kitchen closed after dinner" type of thing. Or just start making enough for you and McKenzie and tell him that you're not going to make him what he wants anymore. Once he's ready to eat what you're eating you will make dinner for him again. EH? Aaron is a pain in the butt....must be a Krause thing!! Love ya and good luck!!
OH SARAH, I HAVE FELT YOUR PAIN MANY TIMES!! Mark declares it is not a meal unless it contains meat, and he thinks salad is rabbit food. No wonder I've become a fatty, right?! It is so hard to try to eat healthy when your husband isn't 100% with you on it. There have been times when I have made my family one meal, and myself something completely different because it was the only way I could get to eat the low calorie meal I wanted. It sucks though because it makes it even more expensive at the grocery store. Mark is 31 now and has gained 15 pounds the last six months, so he's finally hit that "I can't eat whatever I want anymore" phase of his life. He's finally on board with me to eat whatever I put in front of him that I declare as healthy. It's still a work in progress but it's getting better. PHEW!! There have been many nights where I have poured my heart out to Mark about my desires to lose weight and eat completely healthy and how I can't do it without it being a family effort. I think those talks have helped Mark be more open to whatever I put on the plate for him to eat. He may not like it or eat all of it (and he may be snacking later when I'm not looking), but he's never complained at me about it.
The reason I REFUSE to take Mark to the grocery store with me anymore is because if I go by myself then I can leave the store without any junk food, but if I take him along, he throws in a whole cupboard full of snacks and candy into the cart that I end up eating the majority of!!
I agree with Cyndi too. Andy has gone to bed hungry many times because he wouldn't eat his dinner. He's a total carb boy and veggies are a fight with him, but my Luke loves vegetables and fruit more than anything else and will not eat bread for the life of me. The "Party in my Tummy" song has done wonders with Andy though. (Search it on You Tube) All we can do is do our best at guiding and teaching our children and hope that they make the right choices.
